About

Hi, I’m Ross Fortune, a composer based in London, originally from a tiny village in Ireland. 

I was lucky to begin my video game music career with the Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number soundtrack, and have since worked on games including F1® Manager and Planet Coaster 2.

I’ve been passionate about writing music since I picked up the guitar as a teenager, but complemented by my parallel career as a recording and mixing engineer, I’ve developed an equal love for the technical and collaborative aspects of the craft. In these roles, I’ve had the privilege of working on a GRAMMY nominated album, five UK Top Ten singles, and two gold selling albums.

I hold an Honours degree in Musicology from University College Dublin, and a Distinction in Music Production for Video Games from Griffith College Dublin. Now based in the UK, I compose and mix from my studio in West London, and in my spare time I release music as Benny Smiles.
