Ross Fortune is a composer based in London, originally from a tiny village in Ireland.
He began his composing career with the award-winning Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number soundtrack, and has since worked on major AAA titles including F1® Manager and Planet Coaster 2. His work in advertising includes a national campaign for Specsavers, and trailer music for the Playstation® Store.
He has been passionate about writing music since picking up the guitar as a teenager, but complemented by his work as a recording and mixing engineer, he has developed an equal love for the technical and collaborative aspects of the craft. In these roles, he’s had the privilege of working on a GRAMMY nominated album, two Gold Certified albums and a Gold Certified single, as well as five UK Top Ten singles.
Ross holds an Honours degree in Musicology from University College Dublin, and a Distinction in Music Production for Video Games from Griffith College Dublin. Now based in the UK, he composes and mixes from his studio in North London, and in his spare time releases music as Benny Smiles.
